Ortho-K is a non-surgical process which reshapes (flattens) the cornea of the eye using contact lenses. Flattening the cornea reduces the focusing power of the eye and the amount of corneal flattening can be accurately controlled, it is possible to bring the eye into correct focus. The contact lenses will flatten the cornea while you sleep, and after the contact lenses are removed, the cornea retains its flattened shape for part of all of the remainder of the day. (This is why sometimes the lenses are called "Dream Lenses") The lenses are FDA approved. Dr. Lee has been treating many satisfied patients with Ortho-K since 1996.
